Polish Cribs Trailer!

I wanted to show all of my Gotorey.com followers how I am living in Poland.  I wanted to show my apartment.  Here is a trailer of what you will be seeing with the full version to come later.  Your comments and feedback are appreciated!

Gameday Round Up #7 – Turow at Polonia

Another road game for Turow. This time it is in the Country’s capital of Warsaw versus Polonia and this was a hard fought game. Polonia is a dangerous team. The crowd was right on top of the court which made the atmosphere good to play in.  Polonia is a very strong rebounding team that uses its athleticism to convert offensive rebounds into easy points. We did a great job out rebounding them 45-31.  The defense was key because we did not give up many fast break points.

Polonia was led by Darnell Hinson with 21 points 7 assists, Tony Easley 21 points and 7 rebounds and Harding Nana 16 points and 8 rebounds.

Turow was led by Konrad Wysoski with a tremendous performance included 22 points and 7 rebounds, Marko Brkic 11 points and 9 rebounds, Ivan Koljevic 11 points, and David Jackson 10 points.

Despite shooting poorly from the 3 point line we manage to put together a great team effort to win the game!

I really can’t say enough great things about our fans! Turow fans represented greatly in Warsaw taking the trip from Zgorzelec a bus load deep to support their team! They were definitely the loudest section in the arena! Check out the video of the fans after the game! Lets go Turow!

Thank you for your support! It has been great and we felt like playing home court in Warsaw!

All-Star Game – Linkage and Roundup

What a great week this has been my GoTorey followers. Around this time last week I was starting the All-Star game festivities along with all of the other guys selected to participate in this event. I have to say that It has been an incredible experience for me, I’ve met so many great players, fans and everyone who was working around the Game. Statistics were not most important on that day but my team (South) managed to pull the W in this one, which feels very good.

This post is to sum up all of the updates and everything that has happened in the week following my All-Star presence. And right here I have to say Thank You! This is destined for all of the people who visited my website.  I had so many views on the website and All-Star Game movies had almost 4,000 views in that time! I am very excited by this fact and I have to thank Szczepan Radzki (http://www.difens.pl) and Jakub Wojczynski (http://www.polskikosz.pl)  for features on the websites about my videos from the game. They gave a great boost to the number of people visiting my website and Vimeo accounts. I mostly appreciate my man Darnell Hinson speaking about the website in the Postgame Conference:

On top of it I would like to thank all of the fans coming from Czarni Slupsk, Zastal Zielona Gora boards and of course my constant followers from Zgorzelec.

PLK All-Star Game: Polonia and Slam Dunks Ruled

Gametime! - Courtesy of Plk.pl

Courageous Harding Nana became the Best player of the All-Star game played in Kalisz. Polonia Warszawa Forward had 26 points and 7 rebounds. Nana wasn’t only shining during play time but he started while the player presentation was under way. As usual during these events the Polonia Forward had to show his dancing skills. In the whole game South team represented by Nana was better. Led by coach Jacek Winnicki team won against North 121:117.

This was definitely some great fun, game was important for the players also. We wanted to rest a bit and play this game relaxed – Said the All-Star Game MVP, Harding Nana

The awards as well as the final game score were nothing as effective as the actions by Cameron Bennerman and Eddie Miller. Bennerman was running on the court in green shoes which were supposedly sent to the player by Kobe Bryant himself. Bennerman most of all was flying to the baskets during this all-star game just like Bryant in his youth. He was showing some beautiful slam dunks each time down the court and his teammates were eager to pass him the ball. Shooting Guard of the best team in the league in one of his air craziness caught the ball with his right hand and put it to left and slammed it in the basket!

Many dunks were also made by Tony Easley and Eddie Miller but most of the positive emotions about flying above the rim were made by Łukasz Biedny who in the Slam Dunk Contest beat the previously mentioned Bennerman.

All of the players were involved in having fun around the game. Igor Milicic during the 3point shootout showed a widely known gesture “It’s Over!” that was previously made during the Slam Dunk Contest in 2000 by Vince Carter. Milicic made the gesture while Andrzej Pluta was getting to the court. But the AZS Koszalin Point Guard was mistaken because the Anwil sharpshooter had to leave his crown to Polonia Warszawa player, Darnell Hinson.

I did not know that I would be in the actual competition since I was a fill-in. Before the contest in an interview for www.gotorey.com a website ran by Torey Thomas of PGE Turow Zgorzelec I predicted my win! – said Hinson

Mentioned by Hinson, Torey Thomas was one of the players and viewers who enjoyed the All-Star game most. Turow Point Guard during the shootaround was walking on the court with a camera and recording interviews with almost all of the players.

Mecz Gwiazd PLK: Królowała Polonia i wsady

Wywiad z Danielem Ewingiem – Źródło: Plk.pl

Waleczny Harding Nana został najlepszym zawodnikiem Meczu Gwiazd w Kaliszu.

Rzucający najlepszego zespołu w lidze w jednej z podniebnych ewolucji złapał piłkę w powietrzu prawą ręką, przełożył ją do lewej dłoni i wpakował do kosza.

Piłkę do kosza często pakowali też Tony Easley i Eddie Miller ale najwięcej emocji wzbudziły loty nad koszem Łukasza Biednego, który w konkursie wsadów pokonał m.in. wspomnianego wcześniej Bennermana.

W zabawę dookoła koszykówki próbowali włączyć się wszyscy gracze. Igor Milicić podczas konkursu rzutów za trzy punkty wykonywał znany wszystkim kibicom gest “To Koniec” (It’s Over)!, który podczas konkursu wsadów w 2000 wykonał Vince Carter.
