GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — Holy Cross senior guard Kevin Hamilton (Queens Village, N.Y.) and junior guard Torey Thomas (White Plains, N.Y.) have been selected to the All-Tournament Team for the 2005 San Juan Shootout. Hamilton and Thomas led the Crusaders to a fourth place finish in the eight team tournament.

Hamilton averaged 26.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in Holy Cross’ three games in San Juan, while shooting 54.5 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three-point range. He began the tournament by scoring a career-high 38 points against Tennessee-Chattanooga, while making 13 of 20 shots from the floor and seven of 10 three-pointers. He then added 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals against Clemson, before totaling 27 points, six assists and three steals against Mississippi State. On the year, Hamilton is averaging 17.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest.

Thomas averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds over the Crusaders’ three games in the tournament, while hitting four of seven (57.1 percent) three-point attempts. He had 11 points, six assists and five rebounds against Tennessee-Chattanooga, and added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists against Mississippi State. On the season, Thomas is averaging 10.8 points, 5.4 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game, while posting a 2.11-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Holy Cross (5-6 overall) returns to action next Tuesday, Dec. 27, when it travels to George Mason for a 7:00 p.m. contest.

    Whats up Stix, its not a question that that ur a leader! From the out side lookin in u know what it is to be a winner as well as leader. To which that falls in the same catergory when you got people around you that play with you and support you on and off the court to almost any circumstance. You came a long way and i SALUTE you to all the hard work you have done to suceed and to maybe move further and play in the NBA some day which im sure will be your accomplished in life to always be. I Believe in you! Keep workin hard and ur time will come. Good luck out there and put the numbers up so you can to get that contract u waitin on. Peace fam!
